Arrival at Cochin and transfer to Munnar . Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (anamudi-2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls & Tea Plantations. On arrival at Munnar transfer to Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (eravikulam National Park – open as per the directions by the forest authorities ), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (hermitragus Hilarious)- the mountain goat of South India & Tea Musium. Evening have a short visit at Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Following breakfast, you can start the full day sightseeing in Munnar. Visit – Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary a top peak of Munnar where you can see Neelgiril Thar (mountain goats), tea gardens and tea factory. Over night at the resort.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady, on arrival check into the hotel. Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady – one of the world’s most fascinating wild life reserves. The Periyar wild life sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick ever green forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Optional activities like Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride can be done at an extra cost. Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey (140 KM – 3 Hrs drive). This is a quaint town flanked by the Arabian Sea in the west and has a vast network of lakes, lagoons and freshwater rivers criss-crossing it. Alleppey is an important backwater destination attracting several thousand foreign tourists every year and is also famous for its boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Check into the houseboat on arrival (check in time 1.00 pm). Enjoy the day with a backwater cruise on the Vembanad Lake. Overnight stay is on the hotel.
After breakfast check out and proceed on a 6 hour drive to Kovalam. Kovalam Beach was among the most prominent tourist spots in India during the hippy era. There are three beaches at Kovalam, separated by outcrops jutting out to the sea. The larger one is called Light House Beach for its 30 meter high light house. The second largest one is Hawah Beach. Once you reach Kovalam check in to the hotel. Relax in the hotel for the rest of the day. After settling down set out on sightseeing in Kovalam. Enjoy the sun setting in Kovalam Beach. Return to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Morning after breakfast go for full day excursion trip to Kanyakumari, the southern tip of India, the meeting place of three great ocean and also one of the important pilgrim centre of Hindus. The Kanyakumari beach is famous for its spectacular sun rise and sun set. Visit the famous old palace called Padmnabhapuram Palace and famous Suchendra Temple. Later drive back to the Kovalam. Evening free to enjoy the beach.
Morning after breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Trivandrum / Cochin Airport for your onward journey
